About Peter O’DonneII

Safety & Environmental Services Ltd is a safety and environmental company founded by me in 2011. I hold the position of compliance certifier, environmental engineer and director.

  1. I have the following qualifications: Bachelor of Technology (Biotechnology), Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Administration (Occupational Safety and Health) and a New Zealand Certificate in Science (Chemistry).
  2. I am registered with WorkSafe as an Approved Independent Compliance Certifier (TST000089). As a compliance certifier, I am involved in the certifying of sites (both workplace and domestic) using or storing hazardous substances and the certification of certified handlers.
  3. I train certified handlers in the storage use and manufacturing of 6.1A/B substances as this is a requirement under the Health & Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017.

Previous employment history:

  • New Zealand Leather & Shoe Research Association (NZLASRA)
    I was an environmental engineer, the environmental laboratory manager and a test certifier for approximately 16.5 years. I have vast experience within the fellmongery and tanning industry (includes knowledge of most sites in New Zealand).
  • Glaxo Pharmaceuticals
    I was a production manager for Glaxo Pharmaceuticals Ltd (Palmerston North); production management of the aerosol, liquids and topicals manufacturing suites.
